    I just found out about you literally minutes ago. Read your article on Dr. Sandy’s and liked what I read. I am 63, have eaten ‘right’ over half my adult life, have no medical issues ppl my age usually have….no cholesterol or blood pressure problems, on NO prescriptions…..ppl guess my age to be around 50.
    But I am always up for learning more and more to stay healthy. The women in both side of my family live to their mid-to-late 90s and in fairly good health…their hearts just finally give out. But they grew up on meat/mashed potatoes & gravy/3 full meals a day/desserts at lunch and dinner/greasy, fried foods. They knew no better, but I hope with my eating regimes, I might be able to live past 100….and in good health for that age!!

    I subscribed to your E-Mail, then read that you used to have a FREE call up to now, but recipes will be published now for a PRICE? I have to admit, I am quite surprised and disappointed one has to PAY for recipes. So writing to ask you WHY you are charging?

    Looking forward to reading your free blog and articles, but I just can’t bring myself to pay for recipes. There is a ton of very healthy recipes out, all over the Net….NONE of them does one have to pay for. Disappointed as a brand new reader.

      Hi Pat and welcome! What a great story you have. It really does improve quality of life to eat fresh, healthy foods and you sound like quite an inspiration.

      To answer your question about the recipe subscription, I am offering the service in response to requests from many clients and readers to provide recipes with a corresponding shopping list. There are so many free recipes to choose from out there and by all means you should take advantage of that. I also offer free recipes and love to link to great sites that offer free recipes as well. It’s a pleasure to help in any way I can.

      But not everyone enjoys searching the web for recipes, they get overwhelmed or are simply too busy to spend the time finding something healthy, seasonal, easy and delicious. So I am doing the work for these people. I find and test or create the recipes, and make the easy to print shopping list for subscribers. And I charge for it because it takes quite a bit of time to make sure the things I give to people are the best I can possibly suggest for their health and families, and to make it as simple for them to create these meals as I can. I have a lot of people that are signed up and very excited and relieved to have this help.

      For now I have stopped doing the free call, because of lack of interest. Not because I don’t want to offer free options in addition to paid work. Perhaps if there is a renewed interest in the future I will bring it back.

    Thank you for offering this service! $10/ month is *so* reasonable for 3-5 curated vibrant recipes per month.

    I am one of those who gets cross-eyed searching the web for recipes. I don’t feel that I know enough to be able to tell what is good just from scanning webpages.

    There is so much out there, but how do I differentiate? I’d much rather hear from someone I trust once a month, than to be searching the web once I’m already hungry. Thank you. Thank you!
